Diazepam?

I've just got some diazepam as a last resort to help my spawning lower back. I don't want to read the side effects or I won't take it but wondered how other people had found it? Is it likely to help, how long will I have to take it for, any side effects you had? (Sorry- previously posted in Arts and Lit!)

Most tolerate it very well, as for how long? Well it will depend on how long you need to relieve the muscle spasms really.

Sides can include feeling a bit woozy and sleepy, a few people can get some nausea too.

I took it for a short spell some time ago with no real bad effects.


Certainly worth trying to see how you go.

I took it too some years ago. They relax muscles, so can only help.

Thanks Mamyalynne. I was thinking of taking it for 2 days as I have to work after that and can't be woozy whilst teaching. (That should say spasming by the way... phones..)

Well I hope two days may bring the relief you seek but it may take longer of course - what are you taking for the pain side of things?

I should have added two days will show you whether diazepam does affect you in the light headed way, if not you should be ok to carry on with it.

I have paracetamol and the odd ibuprofen but nothing else. I generally really don't like drugs as I do seem to get side effects, so tend to grin and bare it. In this instance I cannot grin anymore!

Being brave is admirable, but you may need something stronger in the short term at least.

I used to take it and never had any side effects.
