Having read the article in the mail, I`m off to find a stick deodorant without nasty chemicals. I have wondered about aluminium for years and tried one of those crystal sticks but you had to wet it first and it was sticky and horrible. Any recommendations?
After having 2 operations for breast cancer in 2009 I was told by the hospital to use Bionsen deodorant, which is aluminium, paraben & alcohol free.. I buy it from Boots stores.-
I can’t use any deodorant or antiperspirant because they make my underarms itch like fire...and believe me I have tried many many many. I shower daily and use talc and nobody has ever backed away from me or fallen dead at my feet so I guess I can’t smell that bad.
Thanks for the replies and the links. I use stick deodorants - not roll ons or sprays. There is very little around. I tried the Bionsen one and it stank. I`ve come home with 2 L`Occitane ones (verbena) and they smell gorgeous.

I use aloe evershield which is great - no nasty thingies in it - it's a 'forever living' product - worth checking out. Have had surgery which took out lymph nodes under one arm and am very careful what products I use.
