Creating Pdf's
I often have to convert word documents into pdf's. When I do this I have to edit the pdf because often it does not translate the word document properly. In particular, italic script sometimes comes up correctly and sometimes does not. This is of course tedious and time consuming. Why does acrobat behave like this and more importantly how can O get it to convert properly the first time?

Hi Hiflier. The first link is a free download and the second is a run through after you have downloaded the free Microsoft details. Incidentally what system are you using 7,8,10,xp? I have no problems converting with w10 running and also 8 was ok but W7 used to have me fuming.

Simply install doPDF (it's a freebie) onto your computer and everything should be easy:

(Although Adobe created the PDF format, their own software for working with it is horrid, bloated and flaw-ridden. Use doPDF to create PDF files and either Foxit or Sumatra PDF to view them - definitely not the totally-dire Adobe Reader!)
