when you buy a newspaper or magazine from wherever do you take the top one or go down the pile for one underneath? I was waiting for someone in a supermarket today & stood near the papers/magazines & nobody I saw took the top one. Why?

I can't believe that OG. Where I stood today, the top papers were all crisp & fine but still people went down about 5 or 6 copies & took one from underneath.

I always go for 1 underneath, the top one is the one usually picked up and put down by people just wanting to look at the headlines. Quite often creased, and on a couple of occasions I noticed one of the sections missing.

The top one is always creased, I take the 2nd usually. If I had OCD I'd go further down to get the least germy.

I will take the top one if it is ok, I only go for one underneath if the top one is all creased and torn.

I cant stand creased of folded papers. I remember once being late to the shops on Sunday and had to have the last Times... It was all creased, I bought it home and ironed it

I take the next one down and if that looks creased or ripped will take the one under that. I think we want our money's worth!
