The mention of Titanic makes me wonder what would happen if one of the latest 'Floating City' cruise ships was to have a really major accident. The largest ones have thousands of passengers on every voyage. Could they all get off in time? Do they have a life boat space for every passenger?

The answer to the question is yes, Eddie. They have to have lifeboat space for everyone, by law. My daughter used to work for P & O Cruises, and lifeboat drills were a regular occurrence, at sea.

1850 people without a life boat? More to the point is what happens if the ship develops a severe list ? This was what happened with the 'Concordia' it listed over 22 deg meaning half the lifeboats could not be used !

i'm not taking sides, but i will remind you that the arms industry in the usa is a multi billiion dollar industry, it needs wars to keep it going. i'm sure if you want to beleive this was a cover up, you could do the same as nay37 and trawl the internet for evidence, trouble is the concrete evidence is long gone. so we'll never know. incidentally the moon landing was the biggest farce in history eg a breeeze blowing at the flag, lol

The 'breeze' blowing the flag was due to the flag pole vibrating not a wind.
If you want proof that the Moon landing actually happened there were 'radar reflectors' left on the Moon intentionally by the astronauts. These can be used to measure very accurately the distance from Earth to Moon. It only needs a small laser such as used in a school science project to project a signal to the Moon and get a reflected signal back.
Co-ordinates of the reflectors are available to anyone who asks or are online. Project a laser to any other point on the Moon and you get no return signal as the beam is not reflected back, but point it to the reflector and you get a signal back. You can measure the time delay and calculate the distance to the Moon. As said this is often done as a school science project.
