Mystery Fleeting Pains.
4 Answers
For some months I had been experiencing discomfort and throbbing in throat area which eventually ended as two ulcer bleeds. During the same time I experienced sharp pain in right elbow and this pain just proceeded to flit from one part of my body to another - could be agonisingly painful at times. It was not cramp. I don't think my GP believed what I was saying and it does seem rather bizarre. However, strange as it may seem, after the ulcer bleeds, the pain referred to has disappeared. Could the two be connected? I am offline now but will catch up with any replies tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback.... ...no I can't help further as i cannot marry the symptoms of a peptic ulcer with those fleeting pains that you have described. Hope it all settles.

Duodenal and gastric ulceration and erosive gastritis. I have to admit I felt a bit "silly" describing the fleeting pains but they were there and quite sharp. GP said all she could suggest for the elbow pain was that I had been lying wrong way in bed! Agonising "ulcer" pain was bad enough - with the pains moving from bit to bit through my body, it was as if something was "pushing" to get through. Anyway after endoscopy and whatever done to stop bleed, I have never experienced the other strange pains again! Touch wood!
