For those who don't know, Mick rode Rough Quest to win the 1996 Grand National.

Wow, thanks for that snippet Lankeela ! I am not a betting person, but I placed a bet on the 1996 GN and I picked RQs name because i thought it was different and he won and won a tidy �250 ! :) Hence that horse is my hero, and the name has stuck with me eversince.

You're not a betting person but you placed a bet! Reminds me of an ex Boss, Lord Wigg, Chairman of the Horserace Betting Levy Board, he used to say "I don't gamble, but I like a bet!"

I know, I know, Im weak and fancied a one-off flutter ! Guilty as charged. Lankeela, is the horse RQ still living and breathing today ? I cant find any suitable websites that i can find out how this wonderful horse is living the rest of his natural life.
