I don't know Much, I do know one thing, I control what I eat, I've seen the Fat one's at Cafe's / Pubs with food on a plate that's piled up on a plate, Phycology has nothing to do with common sense regards your health, & I have the common sense not to get fat by filling my mouth with a shovel full of food like I've seen a few people doing.
The trouble with food is that we need it to live.
Weight gain is a many folded piece of paper. You may start out with a treat because you have done something well as a reward. And then as a consulation for something that didn't go well. That slightly bigger portion now and then starts to become the norm and a bit of fat is deposited. We become a little sluggish and less inclined to do as much as we did and that little bit extra food becomes fat more and more, quicker and quicker. So we become slower and get used to not moving about as much. We have become fat without realising it but realising it non the less.
We have become lazy not because we intrinsically are lazy but the fat has made us that way. Our attitude to food, over time, has become our friend. Kicking a friend that has seen you through tough times is hard.
Sometimes a tough love kick up the *** is better than all the soft fluffy non offensive nudge is what is needed. Sometimes it's not.
