I want to make a document that has a background picture beneath the textual information that will be on it.

I know that it is possible to have objects that are layered one above another. And it is possible to "Bring to the front" or "Send to the back" or even to step through. BUT

I have Office for Mac. And it is 2008. It looks pretty much like Office 2007.

And worse still, I live in Germany and all of this is in German, which slows me down somewhat.

Can you guide me through the menus to get to the commands that I need?

If you can do this with the German menus - even better, but I think I will be able to do the translations English to German myself.

All help gratefully received.

I don't know much about Excel but could you print your picture on a sheet of paper and then run it through the printer again whilst printing your Excel sheet?
