Labradors Food
Hi I have a labrador which is around 19 months and feed him 2 cups of Iams dog biscuits per day, which the dogs home told me. This doesn't seem enough to me as it barely covers the bottom of his bowl. I know labradors can easily become fat but at the moment he seems quite thin (definately couldnt lose any weight). Could you tell me what you feed your labrador and how much.
Thanks very much

Provided you can just feel his ribs and see a 'waistline' he is healthy. Labs are notoriously greedy and most would eat anything you put down. The beauty of this type of food is that they digest all of it rather than sh*t out a load of useful filler that is put in the cheaper foods to fill the dog up.
Unless he is seriously underweight (in which case see a vet) then don't be fooled by those pleading eyes into giving him more than he needs. Good dog food is expensive so why waste more than he actually needs?
Also without seeing the dog I cannot say but he could be one of the more leaner ahtletic types, rather than the heavy type.
