On second thoughts, maybe I shouldn't have asked that.

But anyway. It might have achieved the same thing to just credit Bono with a separate acknowledgement, and avoid any distracting controversy that way. At least Bono's response is appropriate and accurate, ie that the fight for gender equality is one everyone needs to join in still.
