Dentist
I have not been to the dentist in over 2 and a half years due to the fact I am on a low income and cannot afford the work I need doing. Last time I went my bill was going to be upwards of 200 and I can only imagine it has gone up since. I really need to get the work done now as I have noticed my teeth have become worse recently. I work full time and was wondering if I am entitled to any financial help as I cannot afford to have the work done.
Any info is recieved with thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I Work in an Emergency Dental Service and when People want to become Registered with an NHS Dentist we have to tell them to Phone NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 and ask for a List of NHS Dentists in your Area. That or Phone your Local Primary Care Trust (Yellow Pages) and ask them for a List.
Also, if you are on Income Support or Tax Credits you should receive Free Dental Treatment as said in a previous Posting. Other than that it will be the 3 NHS Charging Bands - but they are not as Expensive as 200 or over!!
Also, some Dentists may let you Pay in Installments (my B/F does this) if you are not entitled to Free Treatment.
