For some reason the two-position switch for the side-lights/headlights on my Saab 900 was become very loose, and only by lots of fiddling can I get the sidelights and dashboard lights to come on. No headlights. Going to call into a garage tomorrow to ask them about it, but I was wondering if anyone would have an idea if this sounds like a big job (entire fascia off?), or if a garage might be able to fix relatively quickly/cheaply?

It seems to be held in by spring clips. Have you tried giving it a push to relocate in the dash?

Thanks for the reply, Douglas. Will have a fiddle with it before I set off for the garage, but don't want to make it worse. I'm hoping it might be an easy fix for a garage......
Get off down to the breakers yard. They have a habit of splitting the body of the switch, easy to remove and fit, breakers will show you how.
