Electric Shower Cord
6 Answers
Hi,
The electric shower only works when you pull the cord to activate the elctris then you switch the shower on.
The cord has stopped working.
Should I just get the cord switch fixed or get it retired to just be on?
I'm not sure I have Made myself clear but it is a bit like the trip switch before you can use the shower!!
Thanks

It is a heavy power supply to an instant shower and should not be messed with if you dont know what you are doing. It is a fairly simple job though ... isolate the power supply at the consumer unit, remove the ceiling switch and re-fit the new one. Turn the power on again and test.

Thanks but I couldn't possibly do it myself I would blow the place up and it is a rental property so I have to get it done properly.
I would prefer to have an isolation switch rather than a pull string. Less chance of it being dragged on and broken.
Does anyone know about how much an electrician would charge?
