Well I can't see the difference bewteen talking hands-free and talking to a passenger. In fact talking to a passenger is probably far worse as one tends to occasionally turn and look when talking to passengers.
I won't sign because it includes hands free. Holding a phone while driving though should be clamped down on far more heavily I agree.
Prudie, a passenger can see the same as you and will shut up when it is obvious you need to concentrate.
There is no pressure to keep the conversation going as there is during a telephone call.
There is no reason for a driver to make or take phone calls when they are driving.
HereIam, let the nit pickers have their enjoyment, it seems to make their day picking up minor mistakes, it's no wonder members are leaving this childish site.
Read the B****y Petition (@1036)
They want to ban ALL CALLS including Hands Free.
///Petition
Ban the making and receiving of *ALL* phone calls whilst driving.
Cars kill. Research clearly shows a person is distracted from driving and their reaction times are slowed if on the phone, even if they are using it HANDS-FREE///.
If you don't understand after that, there is nothing else I can do.
"Petitions" are sooo yesterday. If you really want to be heard then apparently "Protests" are the new "petitions" gaining mass media and social media coverage giving the cause protested about more clout imo.
What are the 3rd party statistics regarding this issue and will Mp's, Royals, Celebrities and those in high society be exempt from the punishment/punishments being meated out?
Baldric, you'd think so wouldn't you but as we know they'll be a "feeding frenzy" on your average joe driving and then a tabloid will show pics of one of the above having flouted the law in full view of the police and there will be no repercussions except "Scotland yard are currently looking into the allegations" Before it is forgotten about soon afterwards with wave after wave of stories covering Trump/Putin/Syria/Emails/Eggs are in fact back off the menu as they're now unhealthy again etc...
