We have a new laptop (Leveno) and all is working fine on Windows 10 except the text is very feint, is there a way to make it darker? Bear in mind neither of us are very computer literate. Thanks in advance.

Ok Masma. Click on the windows icon(4 little panes)bottom left of screen, or press the windows icon key bottom left on keypad.
From the pop up menu, click on the little cog wheel symbol(if you hover the cursor over it, it will say settings)
Click System from the next menu.
Click Display from the next menu.
Click Advanced Settings( bottom of page)
Now scroll down to Clear Text Type. and click
Now make sure that the box that says clear text type is ticked.
Click NEXT in the grey box and make your choice of text types from the choices given.
After about 5 choices you can click finished and quit out of settings. You may need to restart to see the effect, I cant remember that bit.

Good trt. I hope that Masma is having some success. Just a little info for you w10 users. When Microsoft were developing it after the w8 disaster they paid attention to what people liked about w7 and xp. One of those thing was the start menu and system controls and settings. So with w10 they have reinstated them but in two formats. Right clicking the windows pane icon brings up the original menu that everyone knows and remembers. But if you left click the icon it brings up the new w10 system which in my opinion is much better for folk who are not as comfortable with such things as system set ups and controls. The new w10 methods are a little easier to follow if you are not au fait with computers and such.
Another little tip to darken text on a site for an individual session in w10.
If you left click the circle icon top right of your screen (the one with the smaller 3 circles on the circumference. Hovering on it says share). You have an option to darken text on say Answerbank if that is the site you are on. It only stays like that though for your current session and you have to activate it again when you log on. I use it on my lap top if I am outside on a sunny day for instance.
