Using Outlook 2010 just recently my jpegs and PDFs are arriving on smartphones as winmail.dat.
I've looked online where Microsoft says it can happen with Outlook 2003 and advises how to prevent it happening by using Plain Text but I can't see how to create Plan Text in Outlook 2010. Can any member suggest a solution?

I'm pleased to read that you've sorted it out.

If the problem reoccurs though the stuff in my link (under 'Fix it for me', rather than the complicated manual stuff that follows and you don't need) is actually very simple. You simply download and run the 'hotfix' file and then download and run the file from the page I've linked to.
