Transferring Photos From Iphone5 To Laptop

The laptop used to recognise my phone as soon as it was plugged in but suddenly it fails to recognise it! Mr M's old iPhone 4 IS still recognised!! How can we get my photos from my phone to the laptop ??

Up load them to Photobucket and then download them to your laptop?
