13a Setting apart English chap for first time in base (11).
I had s*g*e*a*i*n so I thought the answer was "segregation".
So "setting apart" is the definition, "English" is E and Chap is greg, That leaves "for first time in base" to clue "S" and "ation". All I can see is "station" for "base" with the first t dropped.
"First time" could be the first "t", but what is telling me to drop that t? It can't be "setting apart" because that is the definition.
Obviously I am either missing something or am on the wrong track - help please!
Thanks dannyk13 - I have a n at the end from 6 down, (Canon's husband abandoning the information superhighway?) giving "teNet" T(H)ENET. Maybe that's wrong?
