But reading the Guardian article, it now transpires that Bennell has been let out of prison, and is living under the name of Richard Jones. He has a list of previous crimes as long as your arm, and yet he has been "released on licence"
Walters, waiving his right to anonymity in order to speak, believes “a man like that should never be let out”
He will have no argument from me there. Parents of young boys should be aware of anybody called Richard Jones coming anywhere near their sons.

We have had debates on AB for some time now, about the wisdom and need for inquiries into historical child sex abuse. As can be seen from this case, we need to be on our guard at all times.
Crewe Alexander need to explain why all this happened at their Club, and why the refused to make any comments until yesterday.
Is this sort of thing still going on at other sports Clubs ? I would suggest on the evidence of this case, we cannot say with any certainty that it isn't.
Bennell held all the trump cards....he was charismatic, had plenty of money, and held the ultimate power over young boys future careers in the sport that they loved.
How many other Bennells are there out there, still practising their vile trade ?
The code of Omerta that still exists within sports was responsible for these men having to wait 30 years before telling their stories. Andy Woodward and now Steve Walters deserve all the praise going.
