Laptop Won't Load Up:-(

When you say wont load up melv do you mean that it wont boot up and give you access to your account, settings and browser?

Right melv are you sure there is no power supply issue, have you looked very carefully to see if the screen is lit but very faint? (you need a dark room to check that). Then unplug all usb or external outputs (speakers, monitor card readers etc. After that yo can try booting up in safe mode. To do that switch off and wait a few minutes. Then switch back on with the f8 key pressed and see if the menu appears to give you the boot up in safe mode. Also have you installed any new apps or programmes recently. Also can you hear the fan and hard drive kicking in when you press the power button? Lots of questions I am afraid.

What are you running melv w10 ,w8, w7?

Exactly what happens when you try to boot up your laptop?

Do you get the usual power up light(s)?

Does the fan run?

Do you see anything at all on the monitor? (Is so, what?)

If you can get the first signs of life from it, are you sure that you've not left something plugged into a USB port or card reader? (If the BIOS is configured to boot from an external drive that can be enough not make a laptop appear to be dead - learnt from experience!)

I've got power to the laptop and it loads the start page. All I get after that is a blue circle that spins when I put it over one of the programs, eg. Firefox.

I am guessing but I could be that it was doing an upgrade as you switched on and tried to boot up.
