15 minutes of fame..

everyone seems to have their 15 minutes of fame so i was wondering what all you ABer's 15 minutes of fame have been?

I won my way through to Miss England contest - yes its true, and paraded on TV in my cossie ! I have to admit it was twenty five years ago and three stones lighter - but it did happen.

I was on the quiz show 15 to 1 in 1990 but then I suppose most people in Britain have been on that!!

Mine are more like 15 seconds of fame, they might all in the end add up to 15 minutes! I've appeared in the background on the BBCs Money Programme twice, I was on the back page of the Morning Star once (photo an all), I had my name read out on Blue Peter and I was once interviewed for an item on the local news. Unfortunately that time I was wearing a red jumper which was the exact same shade of red as the pub seat I was sat on so I looked like a disembodied head!

Nearly forgot - I was an extra in the crowd scenes at the Olympics in International Velvet.

i have been in loads of films and ,music videos - as an extra. i was in one about 4 times as different people!

you probably won't have heard of any of them though.

Unfortunately I bombed out at �250,000 !

Never mind, it was worth it for the experience.

really whiffey? i haven't had my 15 minutes of fame yet :-( my husband was on blue peter. the one where gethin was in portsmouth visiting a naval ship. sorry not very exciting xXx

I sang at Leicester Demontfort Hall in the choir with Richard Stilgo accompanying us and it was on the local news!!! Hey, it was big at the time to an 8 year old!!!!

I was on the winning team in University Challenge one year (the whole contest that is) and subsequently appeared in a national newspaper on account of all the sexy fan mail that we got. What the article didn't say was that nearly of mine was from gay blokes. :-)

My husband and I having our photo in the press many years ago for refusing to pay a 28% rate increase, being sued by the local council and eventually paying it by a cheque written out on a chamber pot which was decorated with sarcastic slogans. The bank manager thought it was hilarious and called us into the bank to have our photo taken with the "cheque" being returned to us after being cancelled.
