Smart Meters

Has anyone swapped from British Gas to SSE. I have a British Gas smart meter which I realise will not communicate with SSE but does the monitor still function to allow me to see usage.

Must admit that when we were with Scottish Gas that I gave up with the monitor - it was just so unresponsive to touch that it was unusable.

I haven't tried it since we switched suppliers - in fact don't know where it is now!

Thanks Tuvok, I assume that you can still take a reading from the digital display on the meter.

On our meter there is a green button that cycles through different readings.

5 presses gives me the meter reading.

Ours is the same, I did not know if I would still get a reading after the swap. It is absolutely stupid that these meters have been rolled out with no thought to compatibility. I can now go ahead with the swap.
