I am fairly certain this is what I have - is the outcome always extraction?
Seeing the dentist tomorrow anyway.....

I had all my wisdom teeth out in hospital so I was fast asleep
is it causing discomfort? If not I wouldn't have thought there was any reason for extraction

Bit of an ache. It was very painful but has eased
The consensus onwards is NOT to extract a wisdom tooth useless it falls into very strict categories as detailed by NICE guidelines:

https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ta1/chapter/1-Guidance
I had problems with a wisdom tooth. It was so painful that even breathing hurt. The dentist didn't even suggest extraction. He gave me antibiotics and told me to come back if the problem came back.

It was a very slow growing tooth that left my gum vulnerable to infection. All fine now...and all 3 wisdom teeth intact. The 4th never appeared.
they're supposed to break through about the same age as you acquire wisdom. Obviously one of ummmm's teeth isn't convinced yet.
I'm amazed I have the other three. Maybe they grew just hoping I'd wise up and the 4th one thought it was a complete waste of time.
