What you see when you go to File > Print (or press Ctrl P) depends upon the make and model of your printer. (The dialogue box is generated by the driver for that printer). I suspect an incorrect printer setting. Scan an image into Adobe PSE, go to File > Print (or just press Ctrl P) but do NOT simply click 'OK'. Instead, click 'Properties' and take a look at the scaling options there; you probably need to adjust something.

I've still got my dunce's hat on BC Going through your lead I don't seem able to get to "Properties" only "Preferences" which don't get me to scaling options. Thanks again for your help.
Is there not a choice of Advanced in preferences.

Once I've clicked on 'Properties' I'm present with a box which has several tabs across the top. If I choose 'Page Setup' I can then see a section labelled 'Page Layout', which contains the various scaling options. You'll need to look for something similar within your own printer's settings.

There is nothing in Advanced donny. BC the only settings I can see are scaled/proportional ones which means "as it says on the tin" no matter how small or large the height and the width they are in proportion, something I don't want.I want the height to change but not the width,or vice versa. Thanks to you both.
