The New-boy, Bruno, has been here since Friday lunchtime. He had an Abdominal Op. on Wednesday to remove a couple of pebbles he'd swallowed, so we were told to keep him quiet, exercise on a lead etc.
He took one look at the dog gate meant to keep him in the kitchen overnight and cleared it in one, he's now opening doors for himself and wandering about where he likes. Looks like I'm going to have to change a few door handles next week.
In fairness he has a lovely temperament, gets on well with Roger and is a pleasure to have around, he's a character.
Rottie crossed with something(?) about the size of a large Staffie, he's well underweight at the moment, will do a piccie when we've tidied him up a bit.
Yes Dobies are very good at opening doors as I have found out!! How will you stop him eating pebbles Baldric, muzzle, always on a short lead? Never had that problem thank goodness. He sounds as if he's really made himself at home bless him. Thank you for the update.
We've taken him along the seafront walk a few times now and he's showed now sign of wanting to eat anything odd, I'm starting to think that given how thin he is he was trying to fill his tummy due to hunger, but if that's not the case then it will have to be a muzzle rather that a short lead so he can have a run about.
