Sista got a new neighbour about a month ago - and he has installed an alarm and last weekend 3 cameras.

She (sista) didn't understand it but I told her that the cameras allowed him to see "everything" outside on TV.

The little girl about 3 years old (his step-daughter) came out last week and said i can see you on my TV.

Where sista lives - 5 houses listed properties - so not an estate thingmabob.

I know sista is anxious about being watched 24 hours a day as I would too. Is this lawful. thanks

I meant pleasant (not pheasant)
There is no evidence that the cameras are pointed at her sisters house. What there is is a 3 year old who made a comment one would hope that an adult would ask questions and not just take a 3 year olds word for it.
//Mamy - she could see sista outside of her house and around a little bit. //^^
Not necessarily vulcan.(permission to install a camera) I have got wireless webcams, the only installation was plugging them into a power socket and adding them to my wifi network. If your sister is anxious and doesn’t want to confront the neighbour herself, how about talking to the housing association? If the new neighbour has installed an alarm as well, it sounds like he is anxious about his safety.....

you have got it one Woofgang "he is anxious for his safety". The alarm is very noticeable (very big) and 3 wee cameras perched here and there. Anyway I will see her at weekend and see what happens.

Good point about contacting the Housing Association if the are bothersome , personally I would feel somewhat reassured that the area outside felt a little more secure due to these cameras.

We all look at things differently.
No indeed. My cameras only trigger when an invisible line is crossed - on to mine or my neighbour's property. The cameras only show what anyone can see from the public highway or our windows without straining.

I agree that cameras should not record on private property without consent and definitely not through windows.
