Do think it can be over-rated. Today I had to pick up my broken hoover from a man. I paid for it - he lifted it into the car and I knew (It was in my guts) he wanted to wrap his arms around me which he did (all outside the premises) - I just put it down to the guy just needed a hug. Said bye and that's the end of that matter.

\\\\\anybody who tries touchy feely around me without my acceptance can also try picking up their teeth\\\\
As I said earlier in the thread, I don't touch unless I'm invited. Its not a one size fits all. One mans touch could be another woman's grope.
melv! melv! don't lets be naive here and over dramatic, I think we all know the difference between a touch and a grope.
Bloody hell ! ...is this debate still going on ?
I love being hugged and it seems to me that this was just a nice man who likes hugging and thought jj was a sweet elderly lady. I think it's quite sweet.

Very melodramatic and feminine.”

why thank you :) I am both those things!
yes melv I agree with you
I agree with you Sqad.
I think there are two things going on here.....one is JJ’s actual story which i agree is harmless enough....a hug between two consenting adult strangers.....the other is the assertion, the “in principle” bit, that touching can be misunderstood, and that it is some way “wrong” of the person who doesn’t want to be touched without their agreement.
What were you thinking when you entered 'Submit' on this weird and distasteful thread, jennyjoan? ( conne? )

Unbelievable, is the only word to sum this up.....and learn the difference between harassment, and the word you so wrongly used.
