As I smoothed out my fitted bed sheet and fluffed and straightened my duvet, which took all of 20 seconds, just how long it's used to take to make the beds when I was first married in the mid seventies.
Tucking in the sheets, three blankets, an eiderdown and then the cover. Making the beds took a large slice out of the morning.
The youth of today don't know they're born. Anyone, agree?

Oh, the Flatly!! We had one too. It was kept in our garage until my older sister allowed me to put our Mini car away for the night when I was just learning to drive. My foot slipped off the brake pedal and I drove it at full pelt, only coming to a halt when I flattened the Flatly into the wall!!
My parents chose that moment to return home and my sister took the blame for me.
She was made to wear Scholl Driving Shoes for ages after that. Happy days.
