Saturday. Calm and peaceful outside, not cold. Tiggy still tucked up though. I have some of his favourite food on standby in case he wakes up.

Some running around to do today, maybe to Stroud. Preparation for tomorrows dinner party. The G tech gallop and dusting. Oh great joy!

Sorry, missed your last posting, WBM. I tried hand knitting years ago and instead of dropping stitches, mine used to grow. I've no idea how I used to pick up the extra stitches, but I used to end up unravelling everything, so I took up lacemaking. I still do it occasionally.

My eyes are the only good feature. I got them from my Dad and they are a very unusual green. In a certain kind of sunlight, they become intensely green. Anyone who witnesses them are always startled by their greenness if that's a real word?

It is. Green eyes are rare, and always beautiful. One might even say 'eye catching' :o}

My parents had a 78 rpm called 'Green Eyes'. I think it came from a film. A musical. The woman singing it is totally flat. It's absolutely awful, but I'll bet that Mum bought it for Dad.

Morning wbm xxx and all xxx nice calm day . GenuineclAss I cant sew or dress make but I can knit any pattern including fair isle and cable .At the moment I am knitting 2 pram blankets for twin boy and girl all done in squares and sew together long knit round the borders . I did one for her boy 2 years ago .Hope she don't have quads next time .

Hi wendi! I'd love to be able to hand knit. I combine Fairisle stitches and then
make a punchcard to use on my machine. Now I've bought a colour-changer, it will be easier, as I can use 4 different colours, instead of just 2. Saves a lot of time.

Bit of fog knocking about on NW coast, pretty chilly and not inspiring me to do much today!

Luckily we are more or less prepared for the upcoming festivities so at least I don't have to be dragged kicking and screaming through the shops - my worst nightmare at this time of year.

So, all things considered, a day at home is on the cards
