Forgotten Punch Line.
I'm trying to remember this joke. I heard it on radio from the wonderful Barry Cryer. Its about 3 old men having some sort of brain test. The 1st one is asked - What is 2 and 2 - and he says 7 or something. The 2cnd one is asked - and he says something wrong like 9. And then the 3rd one is asked - What is 2 and 2 - and he says Thursday. Then he's asked why he said that ---------and of course that's what I can't remember. But like so many jokes it had a sort of logic to it

Three elderly men are at the doctor for a memory test. The doctor asks the first man, "What is three times three?"
"274," was his reply.
The doctor says to the second man, "It's your turn. What is three times three?"
"Tuesday," replies the second man.
The doctor says to the third man, "Okay, your turn. What's three times three?"
"Nine," says the third man.
"That's great!" says the doctor. "How did you get that?"
"Easy," says the third man. "I subtracted 274 from Tuesday."
