Gibraltar 10 Pound Note? This Was Mentioned A While Back

I was in the uk in the summer, after visiting Gibraltar, tried to buy a couple of drinks in brum with this Gibraltar 10 pound note, they wouldn´t accept it!!
friend took it off my hands, and said he´d put it in his bank.
following week, he said his bank weren´t interested.
upshot was, I was sent a xmas card with the offending banknote!!
is it useless? could i pay it into my halifax account when i´m back in the uk?

It is not a 'foreign' currency as such. It's just that the notes are not, as explained, legal tender. That is not the same thing as legal currency. N Ireland banknotes are also technically legal tender even in N Ireland. And most shops in GB won't take them.

The Post Office Bureau de Change will change it for you - a straight swap for a £10 UK note

You could also try depositing the note in to your bank account using an ATM
