Can anyone help with this please? I want to save some files to CD but when I try to save them, I get a message saying:
'You do not have access to folder D:\. See your administrator for access to the folder.
I don't understand this as I've saved files like this before. No-one else uses this computer. Can anyone advise please?

The option to format a rewriteable disc should be available from your CD burning software. It's not available within Windows. (That might not be true for XP - I don't use XP so I can't say for sure).
Most CD burners are normally supllied with appropriate software. (This applies even when the CD rewriter is already in the PC at the time of purchase). The most common software supplied is probably Nero, with Roxio CD Creator also being popular.
If you've got Nero then, from the StartSmart menu, you should select 'Format/prepare rewriteable disc' from the 'Data' options.
The Roxio software has something similar but It's a few years since I last used it, so I can't remember exactly how to find it.
Basically, though, if you run your CD burning software, an appropriate option should present itself.
