My dad was on his 2011 tour where George contracted pneumonia and the tour was canceled. I don't think he ever recovered that to be honest.
Some musicians when performing live are a let down, but not in his case.
He had a brilliant voice and a sad lose to the music industry.
One funny thing from that tour was his personal toilet.
He demanded that his own personal sanitary ware was plumbed in at each venue and thus followed him around on tour.
When your the star you can request such things :-)
If you look at Mailonline, they have a picture of him taken in a restaurant in September. He looks awful, very overweight and bloated, he was not a well man. All these people who thought it was cool to take drugs are now finding it catching up with them. A warning to the young of today.
Well everyone dies of 'heart failure'. There will have to be a post mortem. I think the lifestyle in their hey days in the 70's & 80's are catching up with them. Now we will have 'careless whisper' blaring out of our TV as well as the nauseating 'last christmas' for the next week. Looking at the Russian tragedy when 65 members of a russian choir plunged to their deaths, many of them in their early 20's puts it into perspective for me.
