New Zealand Accents !
24 Answers
Earlier this afternoon, I was talking to a chap from New Zealand, that I met a few years ago. He was staying with his parents here in the village.
But I really couldn't understand much of what he said ! He emigrated to NZ about 30 years ago, and rarely comes home ( I know his Mum and Dad )
After a few minutes, I had to make my excuses and got back in the car. He must have thought I was a bit twp, as we say here in Wales !
But I was really struggling....anybody else have problems with Kiwi accent, or have a I really gone twp ?

As you say twp is a good word to have. My son used to get called tommy shunk by some relatives when visiting and thought they were been nice to him until he was shown the word Shunk in the Urban Dictionary. It was all in good fun though.
Sheddy....just looked up "shunk"......thanks for that....it has now entered into my vocabulary !
