I’ve been asked to host a quiz for friends and family at a party this weekend. I’ve done it before, following the format of a pub quiz I go to, but I usually make up the questions myself by doing loads of research, and it just takes ages. I’m looking for an easier, quicker way of doing it so does anyone have any good resources you use to find questions and answers to make your own quizzes, or even entire quizzes online to use at home? I don’t’ want the quiz to be too hard as they complained it was difficult last time!

I know there’s loads of stuff on the internet and I’ve found some sites but am looking for recommendations of good places people have used before if anyone has any. Thanks!

Can't give you any links samby but I do commend you for thinking this through - I went to a fund raiser a couple of years back and the questions were sooooooo obscure very few of us (fairly seasoned quizzers) could understand the questions let a lone answer them! Wish you the best of luck
The Telegraph ran a campaign to promote pub quizzes a few years ago. Google "telegraph pub quiz" and you'll get some interesting questions that are not too hard and not too easy.
I was going to use it to start a quiz in our village hall, but no one was interested.
Wish I lived by you Cloverjo - I'd have been interested in a quiz!
Yes, it's a shame. I thought it might have been fun, and brought people together in the village.
There are lots of good quiz books available. You could also add in some qns about recent topical events.
Have you come across www.kensquiz.co.uk - gen know and lots of questions under different topics.
Try a charity shop for a trivia quiz book. They usually have a few and the answers to the questions are given at the end of the book.
Bubbletree quizzes do a reasonable quizzes for about £2.95 Numerous subjects include a picture round and about 4 other rounds and answer sheets to hand out I've used them when I don't have time to do my own

You say you're doing loads of research. If you want something fairly simple, can't you just choose your answers, and compose simple questions about them?
http://www.freepubquiz.co.uk is a great site for quizzes.
