i have I.E.6 on xp home edition and my friend keeps telling me try firefox, what is firefox as i'm not all up to date with the internet. is firefox compatible with my sys? and where can i download it from.

Firefox is another browser like IE. It will run fine on Windows.

Many people are moving to Firefox because it is supposed to be more secure than IE.

You can leave IE on your machine and use one or the other, or both. You MAY find the odd web site that only runs on IE.
