Attatchment help

Hi, I am visiting you from quizzes and puzzles in the hope that someone can help. I have a quiz sitting in an attatchment. When I click on it to download all it prints is the original e-mail. I cannot get at the quiz. Have already tried in documents but I can't find it. I am new to this but I have opened an attatchment before ok so I don't know what to try next. Perhaps someone can enlighten me...I suppose it's something really simple, like me ! Here's hoping xx

Using Outlook Express ??

Top right hand corner is a Paperclip button, click this to open or save the attachment to a new location.

Good idea to save it to your My Documents folder and work on it from there.

Do you mean "all it prints is the original e-mail"? You should double click on the attachment wherever it shows up on the e-mail page and then get the option to open or save it.

You will probably need to save it - save it in my documents. Remember what it is called!

Close the e-mail program and go to My Documents and then if you have the program it was written with you should be able to double click the saved attachment and open it.

Having re-read your post it is possible you've saved it somewhere else. Try saving it again but this time you will need to save it to My Documents. (might have to\click on Browse to do this.

Hi again sparkyharky and machecoul...Saved it in My Documents...comes up as 'copy of Fwd Round Britain Quiz Internet E-Mail Message'.When I open I have a window with the original e-mail message in it .If I print it prints the e-mail message, 'Note- forwarded message attatched'.

If I click on Properties it says that 'this file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer'. I unblocked it but I still only get the e-mail message.

Thank you both so much for your advice .I am chasing my own tail with this one...It's been sitting there since 30th May ! Methinks that by the time I get at this one the results will be in ! If you can think of anything else I will give it a go...it must be so difficult to help someone like this especially a stupid little kitty like what I am ...purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr xx

Hello again earthakitten!

It sounds like you haven't actually got the proper attachment. Whoever sent it to you has not been successful.
Sounds like you have an eml attachment rather than a doc or xls, for example.
Get back in touch with whoever sent the quiz and ask them to resend.
