I can't be completely dry in Jan, DT. It's my birthday in the middle and this year it's the big Four-O. Will abstain for the rest of the month, though.

Nothing wrong with that minty. We got to know the lady that gave me the bottle when Vera had the first cancer. Her husband had cancer at the same time and went for treatments on the same day as Vera. We got chatting became friends. Sadly her hubby didn't make it. But he left her with no cash worries. we kept in touch with her and helped her with all the arrangements tec. She had no family... that she had any time for anyway.

Morning All !

Bit late joining the fray ! Bloody dreadful fog today.

My kettle made a horrible smell last night, of burning, and is now kaput, so a new £10 kettle awaits in Argos. I need to go and collect it but I am not willing to drive quite yet. Its only about 4 miles up the road, but I can't even see the other side of the street properly !

Well, I have been managing with putting a Pirex jug in the microwave, although its a bit hit and miss, as to whether the water is actually boiling properly or not.

But the kettle is my second recent household appliance disaster, after my kaput Calor Gas heater.....do I believe in things coming in threes, I ask myself ?
