can rabbits and birds mix?

i have a large rabbit that needs a larger cage, i also have a very large avairy with around forty birds in it would i be able to put my rabbit in there at night time with the birds?

I kept rabbits and poultry togather for many years with no problems..........give the rabbit some sort of shelter if it feels the need to retreat at any time..............I had a few open hutches with bedding for mine and they usually used them at night time.
