Daughter has a cleaner. She pays her £10 per hour, she does 2 hours twice a week. Very thorough, will not use a mop, prefers to get down on hands and knees and use a cloth to clean floors.
I also have a lady once a week for two hours, to do the bits I can't manage.
She charges £10 an hour, she also does my windows in and out, and if she runs out of jobs before her time is up, she will even bath the dogs, I am lucky enough to have built a nice relationship with her too, and she has said she will always sit with Mr F if I need to be out of the house. Lovely lady.
I have a cleaner 2 hours a fortnight as I live on my own, she does cleaning, ironing and changes sheets etc. I pay her £9 an hour and an agency £15/month which works out to £12.75 an hour.
I have noticed that since we moved from Dover area, where we had a cleaner, to Hernia Bay, where we don't, now I'm retired, that the Gin evaporates much more slowly.
I used to have a weekly cleaner for four hours because I worked away from home quite often but I found I spent such a lot of time the weekend or evening before she came clearing all surfaces of stuff that I might as well have cleaned while I was at I!
