Not the usual high street retailers - try go to a private run one on the high street or perhaps go to a wedding fayre where they will show you the stones and book appt. I went to a local private jewelers family run and got an excellent service. I live in the south east so Brighton good and Reigate high street, Guildford

If you're not fussy about such things, try antique shops. They often have loads of engagement rings at well discounted prices, which have been worn for a few months and then the engagement's been called off!

You will get a good deal there, especially at the minute!
