Hermes - Lost Items

How many of you had items lost - 'stolen' while being delivered during the Christmas period by Hermes couriers UK?

I had one item delivered by myHermes in December....arrived on time.
Everything else was AmazonPrime...arrived the day after ordering, every single order, well within 24 hours.

All my Hermes couriered parcels arrived fine, courier is a sweetheart.

Two Amazon came good too, one Yodel slightly messed up but soon sorted.

I've never had a problem with Hermes. I guess they must have the odd rogue working under their name, though, as might any courier company.

Have you asked Hermes to investigate what happened to your parcel?

I have never ever lost a courier parcel and all the couriers I have ever dealt with (and it must be around 100) have been helpful efficient people. I wish I could say the same about the post office

I've used Hermes a lot and never had a problem.

OH had one item 'lost' and one item which took 3 weeks to arrive. He doesn't use them any more.

I have - sort of!

Parcels were marked as delivered on the tracking site - but weren't until the next day!

One was marked as being delivered on a Wednesday - left securely in porch! House has no porch - nor the parcel. So I phoned the company - give it 48 hours - they send a message to the courier to chase them up. Guess what - no parcel. Company credited me and reordered - it arrived ok - and the missing parcel turned up on the following Monday.

Another marked as being delivered on Christmas Eve - arrived last Friday!

None! In defence of the Royal Mail I noticed they were putting through a lot of 2nd class mail as 1st over the Christmas period!

No trouble with Hermes but Arrow - that's another story. Would never knowingly use them again.
