Day off work, done shopping,washing,normal pub shut because of a family funeral, think I might open the bottle of wine won in a raffle at work! Black tower Don't normally drink wine hope you are all having a good evening

Thanks samuriasan, I should have Friday off as well but because of sickness look like I will be working!! But only until ten so still time for a few in the pub on the walk home!!

Sounds good. Just primped hair, done make-up, off to pub (100 yds.) soon for monthly village 'Supper Club'! A convivial gathering which happens monthly during the Winter it's Shepherd's Pie tonight!

Just texting to & fro to my son, he's sunbathing in Tobago!! While here in Manchester ... guess what! ... It's lashing it down !! I too hve three bottles of wine I was given over Christmas, I haven't a clue what they will taste like, it'll be weekend if I open one.

Very decent, Tilly. Sheila (landlady and cook) is an excellent cook and her veg. accompaniments are terrific! Amongst the usual peas, carrots, boiled spuds and kale were roast parsnips & beetroot in a honey & mustard dressing - fantastic!

She possibly serves the best Sunday dinner ever (booking well in advance is necessary) and got a rave review in the Sat. Telegraph 'Good Pub Guide'. :)
