Yes as it replaces tax credits, dependant on income and other things though

The answer depends, too, on your personal circumstances and the area you are living in, as currently Universal Credit isn't rolled out completely nationally and different local councils have different rules.
In Leeds and the surrounding area, for example, people who have dependent children can't currently claim UC; or, you can't claim UC if you are on about £330/ month, which is well below the national minimum wage for any full-time job.
