Shame about the background noise. Why have documentaries that you cannot hear people talking because of the incessant noise. Utterly spoils an excellent programme.

Have to say I didn't notice the background music .
I didn't notice the background music either, excellent programme it is on for several weeks.
I didn't notice any background noise, unless you mean the general hospital noises. Yes, it was a good programme, but what a sad ending for Simon.

such a pity for Simon. I wish they had told us what actually caused his death .
Just watched last half of Hospital. Felt so elated for Simon having a new oesophagus. Then at end comes up he died 5 weeks later. Couldn't quite get what it said . Think it was infection? So sad.
I thought it was a blood infection
Thought it might be. It's left me feeling so sad :-(
I switched off after about half an hour, so don't know what happened but did wonder why a lady with an aortic aneurysm was being transferred such a long way to that particular hospital. When my husband had an AA he was sent to the nearest hospital and treated there. It was 50/50 but he survived.
I didn't watch it, but I'm amazed that someone can have a new oesophagus. Sad that he died not long after.
Hellywelly, repairing an AA is quite a difficult job. My dad had one, and thankfully survived, too. I would guess that the lady was transferred to the best place and surgeon, and your hubby was lucky to be near a good one.
