A Huge Moon !

I am looking up at the biggest moon I think I have ever seen !

Why is particularly large today....does anybody know ?

I saw the bright star/planet in the East, but too cloudy to see now. I googled to see what it could be. I didn't find anything. All of the planets that are visible are in the West now.

Actually, the reason that the moon may have looked big, is becase you saw it at about 6.30pm. It's pretty low in the sky at that time and the closer it is to the horizon the bigger it looks
