Sadly, a few years ago around 2000, the independent British company Access so upset American rivals Mastercard for its UK dominance it bought the company lock, stock and barrel in order to have what to them was an insignificant economic, but major for PR, presence in the UK.
So rather than trying to enter the British market and compete, they simply wiped them out in 1 go.
And that's why you haven't seen their ads for a while. Shame really.
