Need Great Reason To Give To My Employer For Leaving My Employment?
13 Answers
I am giving my notice in tomorrow to my present employer. I do not need to work any notice period, as I have never been given a contract.
I am leaving because of the stress it causes me.
If they ask me to work a notice period, I do not really want too and feel I need to have some answers ready!
Could you please help me with this? Many thanks in advance.

Well, the simple answer is that you reply to any request with the fact that you do not have a contract. They can get rid of you without notice and you can equally leave without notice. Sauce for the goose etc.. Tell them that you are leaving because of the stress they cause you and have examples ready to hand. They may come back and offer you better terms and a contract, so have your terms ready. Good luck.
I always used a sickdea relative......I can't because -my grandmother died (not a lie...she had died years ago) - My aunts funeral...in some distant place....she had died some months before..... I never lied but did use some historical situations ...... Serious family issues that I have to go and help with...... cat wasnt well..you get the idea.....

That needs clarifying, Jourdain. Yes, they can tell you to leave immediately, but they have to pay for the notice period.
Strictly speaking scruffbag should give notice but i doubt they would take him to court for breach of contract- however they may be tempted to say in any reference that you you walked out without notice. They may agree to waive/reduce the notice period though- it may be in everyone's interest
