Acorn 180 Curved Stairlift 1 Yr Old
6 Answers
My friend bought it second-hand, but has been advised its of no use as it was specially made to fit previous owner's staircase. Is this just policy due to health and safety etc or could an engineer modify/fit it .. or should my friend just write it off. Thanks for any advice...

Curved stairlift tracks often are made to fit a specific staircase. I wouldn’t rule out your friend’s being able to find someone who will do you a “cut and shut” adjustment, but whether it would be safe or worth the money I don’t know and would doubt. Apologies for all the weasel words in this post but without seeing the stairlift and the staircase its not possible to be definite.
